About this HAVEN
HAVEN mounts in your ceiling and works on its own. When the air at the unit reaches 200°F (93°C), a UL-listed fuse opens and releases ABC dry chemical over a 10 ft x 10 ft area (100 sq ft). It suppresses the fire, provides valuable time to escape and helps prevent property damage.
No wiring, no power, no subscription. Always ready. It installs in most ceiling cavities, so it sits nearly flush and stays out of sight. Each unit protects for 5 years.
Dry chemical is graded by how much active agent it contains, and many extinguishers use 40-60% grades, with the rest being filler. HAVEN is charged with Super 90, a 90% grade of eco-friendly ABC dry chemical, so far more of what is inside is fighting the fire. And because it is a dry chemical, there is no water damage: it cleans up easily.
Put one wherever people sleep and along the way out: bedrooms, hallways and the paths out of your home. Add more where fires tend to start: kitchens, playrooms, garages, sheds and hunting camps.

How can I review something that hasn't been used yet, (and hopefully never will be). As far as installation goes, it's straight forward and simple. The installation manual is somewhat conflicting however. Under the 'Operation' heading, it states that "The HAVEN operates when the temperature in the area reaches or exceeds 135F". However, under the heading 'Precautions', there is a sticker that states the Haven is a 200F unit and ceiling temperature should not exceed 150F. So which is it?

Fits right where I need it
A very simple solution to protect my motorcycle shed. Construction is 2x8 floor joists (of 2 story shed) but not adequate clearance to fit bottle through specified hole.
